What is Notes 4 Uni and how does it work?

Yes! It's completely free to register and browse notes. However, to read notes you need to first purchase credits. These credits can be spent on any documents on the site, and we offer various credit packages so you don't have to spend more than you need to.
If you are looking to make money, you can upload your notes absolutely free of charge. Simply add your documents to the site and watch the money pile up as fellow students download your notes to help them in their studies.
How much money can I earn by selling my notes?
As much as possible! Once you have uploaded your documents, they will remain on the site forever and you will earn money every time someone downloads one. Documents are classified in different ways when you upload them, and each document type earns you a different amount of money:
Lecture notes - £0.49
Study guide - £1.99
Others - £0.99
So after 10 people have purchased your latest revision guide, classified as a study guide, you will have £19.99 in your account, ready to withdraw at any time!
How do I get my money?
Whenever someone purchases one of your documents, the funds are credited straight to your account. You can withdraw any money from your account at any time. You can request either a direct bank transfer (to UK banks only) or Paypal payment, and the money will be in your account within 7 working days, subject to our normal fraud checks.
I've forgotten my username or password. Can I get them back?
Simply visit the
Username and Password Recovery page to get your username and a new, automatically generated password emailed to the email address you used when you created your account.
Every single document on the site has a rating, out of 5. Once you purchase a document, you are encouraged to rate it to improve the experience of other users. Every user also has the ability to post a comment about a document, so scroll down to the comments section to see what other users are saying about that note. In addition to that, you can see a portion of each document free of charge, as a preview, to get an idea of the content and quality of the file. If you like what you see, you can purchase the document to read the whole thing.
I don't like the document I just purchased. Can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for any documents you purchase. We designed our system to allow you to get a very good idea of the quality of a document before you pay for it, and have strict rules of what can and can't be uploaded. Our moderators are constantly monitoring and evaluating newly uploaded notes, and those that fall below our standards will be removed.
Can I download notes to my computer?
Unfortunately, we do not allow you to download files to your computer. This is to prevent distribution of documents that have been uploaded to the site. You will however have access to any of your purchased documents from any computer with internet access. Once purchased, you can access a document forever and do not need to repurchase it.
Do you have notes for every module of every course at my university?
As we are a user driven website, we only have notes for the modules that other users have uploaded them for. We are always trying our hardest to increase the number of available notes, but unfortunately, some modules and some courses will always have more notes available than others. If one of your modules has no notes available, why not take advantage of it by selling yours?
For some universities, we do not yet have detailed module data, in which case you will only be able to search for notes by course, rather than module. However, this will not reduce your ability to use the site in any way.
We are constantly looking to move into new universities, and you can
request a university to be added to speed up the process.
Check the page of
currently supported universities to see if your university is available. It takes time to add a university to the site, because we like to make sure your experience is perfectly customised to your course. The same course at a different institution can be hugely different, so it's recommended to wait until your university is added, with data for your actual course and modules. You can also
request a university to be added, which can speed up the process.
Yes! We know you are going to enjoy using Notes 4 Uni, so why not get some free credits by introducing it to your friends? For every friend you refer that signs up and purchases some credits, you receive 10 free credits that can be spent on any documents you like.
How can I pay for my credits?
We use Paypal as our payment processor. This is for the incredibly high levels of security and protection offered to our users. However, you do not need to have a Paypal account to buy credits. Simply click on the "Use your credit or debit card" link to pay directly with any major credit or debit card.
